Whoever you are and wherever you are from I want to stop and say thank you. Thank you for your service. Your bravery. Thank you for the things that you have seen so that I wouldn’t have to see them. Thank you for being away from your family so that I can be with mine. Thank you for your dedication and for your loyalty. Thank you for all the horrible meals that you’ve eaten. For all the nights you’ve been too cold or too hot. Thank you for the blood, sweat and tears that you have sacrificed for our country. Thank you for following orders. For doing your job better than anyone else ever could have. Thank you for the brothers and sisters you’ve lost in war. Thank you for the medical, psychiatric and relational damage you have faced because of the sacrifice that you have made. I know I will never thank you enough, thank you for everything or ever realize what you had to give up. So thank you for being you.
Dear Veteran’s Family,
Thank you for the sacrifices you have made. Holidays without your other half. Major milestones that you have documented to send to them or show them when they get home. Thank you for being strong enough to be a military spouse, a single parent, a counselor and a friend. I see you. I see your sacrifices. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
